My name is Adam Blainey, and I’m the developer of The Uninvited magazine for iPad. As an iPad lover, I use my iPad for so many things from writing to Facebook to movie watching over AirPlay to Skype and FaceTime video chat (and, of course, gaming!). I also created my own custom iPad leather case because I dropped an iPad with the Apple Smart Cover on it and the screen cracked, so I can say from experience that the Smart Cover case is not a protective case.
I now have 3 different iPad stands: Smart Cover, Movie Pegs, and the Earth Station. The Earth Station is my favourite of them all. It’s a very beautiful presentation, made from natural wood and it is the stand I use the most. It is not only a gorgeous, natural iPad stand, but it’s so solid that I have it on my office desk and I put my iPad on it as soon as I get to work where it stays all day.
My preference has always been natural products over plastics. I love wood, glass, metal and leather. So, the Earth Station looks perfect on my smoked glass office desk next to my Titanium MacBook. While I do own the Apple magnetic cover which is ideal for traveling, the Earth Station is a far more stable and attractive stand for my iPad at home and in the office. It's also great for gaming; and when I watch video, unlike with the folding cover, I don't worry about accidentally bumping it and having my unit land on the floor. I even use it in the kitchen to view my recipes, which highlights another advantage, as it is significantly easier to clean than the Apple product. As an app developer, I find it's also an excellent platform for sharing ideas with colleagues; as it is easily rotated with no risk of tipping over. All in all, the Earth Station is an excellent product at a great price and will make an attractive addition to any setting.

I just wanted to drop a quick note and say thank-you for the Earth Station. What great product! My iPad has never looked so good as it does sitting in the Earth Station and the Earth Station is a far more functional stand than the more conventional product I had previously.
